In the midst of the rain...

I took a picture of my hair length as of now so I can keep up with how much it grows.

Such a yucky day with all of the rain and it was super long with waking up early and working. However, on a hair note, my hair came out pretty good this morning despite the fact that I did nothing to it last night. I sprayed some of the leave-in mixture of marshmallow root and hibiscus flowers that I made with Sarah the other night and ran my hands through my hair a couple of times and was out for the day. I got quite a few comments so I was pretty pleased for second day Bantu Knots. I just put a little of the creamy leave-in conditioner we made but am going to try to see how my hair looks tomorrow after not doing anything else to it tonight.

Reflect over this...

So today was definitely another gorgeous day and I was excited to see how my hair turned out from washing it and using my new leave in conditioner. After taking my Bantu knots out, my hair was still wet but after walking in the sun for little bit of time it was definitely dry. It smelled AMAZING and looked and felt even better. "Leave ya sweet" hair puddin' is definitely that stuff :). Also, the results of doing Leslie's hair were FABULOUS! I was way to excited and her hair was so full and had so much life. Hope she continues to like the short natural look because it definitely fit her. Out for the night. Not going to do anything to my hair, let's see how this plays out.

A Mix of This and That

Yesterday was such a beautiful day and random adventures with friends can always be an added bonus to making the day better. Sarah and I decided to do some hair shopping to find things to make leave-in conditioners, oils, etc. for our hair. It was such a great hour to spend the day away from doing work. That night we became little mixologists and turned my kitchen into our personal lab :) It was so much fun and definitely filled with lots of laughs and good times with Leslie and Brittany. What was suppose to be us just mixing up some things for ourselves turned into a mini hair party, how fun! We can definitely hit the natural industry by storm with our new "Leave ya sweet" product line brought to you exclusively by EssDee. The hair puddin' smells sensational and our tea treat just might the next big movement. It was so much fun and our late night wing excursion was an added bonus, although the night didn't end until 5am.
